JISC supports the UK post-16 education and training sector through high quality initiatives
and services. It aims to support the innovative use of Information
and Communications Technology and e-learning by providing the expertise, independent
advice, guidance and access to quality-assured resources. For examples of how it does this take a look at these case studies.
The Regional Support Centre can act as your channel to the JISC services by highlighting relevant information and putting on events in association with the relevant JISC service. Or alternatively you can go direct to the relevant JISC service.
JISC funds a wide and growing number of national services for the
benefit of the further and higher education and research communities.
They provide training, support and
advice to enable the community to take full advantage of the network,
electronic information and content.
Most services and initiatives
are free at the point of use, although some services host datasets,
