RSC Services

The RSC offers a range of services to support the development of e-learning and ILT in identified learning providers within the post-16 education and training sector in the East Midlands. We support strategic managers, operational managers and practitioners.

The RSC provides learning providers with a first point of contact in the region for all issues to do with the use of new technology; we build regional partnerships and collaborative networks; we support regional and local strategy; and we provide learning providers with a range of services.

Why use your Regional Support Centre?

Using your RSC will enable you to draw on informed, independent expertise based on effective practice in the post-16 education and training sector and elsewhere.

With the exception of some events, these services are all free to the learning providers that the RSC supports throughout the East Midlands region.

In addition to the expertise of the trained and informed team, the RSC is your channel to the authoritative sources that are JISC services and national partners. Your RSC can link you to a wide range of regional learning providers to help you answer questions about how technology can be used within a learning provider and what effective practice is available.

We also have a range of kit that can be lent to learning providers on short-term loans. This includes USB camcorders, eeePCs (notebooks), voting pads, an accessibility kit, a touchscreen monitor, a Wii, network monitoring tools and a Digitiser.

Your RSC also provides generic services across the whole post-16 education and training sector such as:
