Work Based Learning

The RSCs have been funded from 2007 until 2010 to support Work Based Learning (WBL) in the post-16 education and training sector. Each English and Welsh RSC is funded to provide a WBL Advisor, whose work is co-ordinated through a national WBL Advisor.

At the current time we have been:

• establishing links to WBL learning provider networks and providers including setting up a mailing list for discussion
• describing the present use of e-learning in the WBL sector in the region
• identifying and prioritising support needs
• facilitating a regional WBL Forum
• organising awareness raising and staff development activity
• creating the Innovate WBL Resource
• involved in setting up the Midlands e-Portfolio Group, which will be of particular interest to the WBL sector

WBL providers are encouraged to use the facilities available on this website, join our events and get on to our mailing lists.
