Higher Education in Further Education (HE in FE)

In addition to the full range of services for Further Education, your Regional Support Centre provides support to meet the specific needs of colleges delivering Higher Education courses and small Higher Education Institutions (HEIs).

This includes:

• support and guidance on the effective use of e-learning and new technologies in developing and delivering HE courses, including blended/distance learning programmes
• facilitating the sharing of good practice in the management and delivery of HE courses in FE
• encouraging closer collaboration between the FE and HE sectors in the region in order to meet the Government's Widening Participation and Lifelong Learning agendas
• providing in-house training sessions and regional training events with a specific HE focus
• a Higher Education e-mail discussion list
