JISC RSC East Midlands is promoting and supporting a series of local e-learning technology awards in order to discover good exemplars of e-learning within each learning provider, disseminate best practice in Information Learning Technology (ILT) and to reward staff who are contributing to the development of e-maturity at a local level.
The award is intended to identify and reward good, effective practice in the use of learning technology within the organisation and is open to teachers, learning support and business support staff within the organisation.
We will provide a template for running an award scheme and a prize up to the value of £100 – your organisation will run the scheme, identify the winner and award the prize. As a result you get motivated staff and are able to highlight excellence within your organisation.
Here at the RSC we know that there are many unsung heroes working to provide a richer and more engaging experience for their learners through the use of technology and we would like to give all the organisations in our area the chance to reward these people.
In addition it will help us to identify and publicise good practice in the use of learning technology.
If, like us, you think that this is a great opportunity to motivate staff and raise the profile of your organisation, please take a couple of minutes to download the accompanying guidelines and send us the application form.
To take part in the scheme return the application form to Phil Hardcastle.

Every winner of an award will enter our Hall of Fame on this website. They may be used as exemplars of good practice across the region and their ideas will be disseminated through our various communication channels. This may include developing a case study for the Excellence Gateway website.
